This series encapsulates the luxury, attitude, and bespoke nature of the Hermes handbag. The success of the Hermes brand is built on the pillars of quality, hand craftsmanship, and tradition.  The ethos is expressed in the slogan Hermes: contemporary artisan since eighteen thirty seven.  

The images incorporate elements, which celebrate the work of artists Christo and Jeanne Claude espousing their oeuvre "revelation by concealment". The partially wrapped household objects are the quirky agents provocateurs in the tableaux, revealing the character and attitude of each handbag.    The series responds to a fictional brief for the production of a set of images for publication in the Hermes in-house lifestyle magazine. The handbags were drawn from a privately held collection of limited edition designs.
